Sing to the Lord a new song

Music is God’s gift to people to praise and worship Him. In the Mar Thoma Church, the Department of Sacred Music serves as the central organization for music development and distribution.

In 1960, late Mrs. Elizabeth George Samuel started a choir in our parish. From that time on, the Choir in our Church has been playing a significant role in enhancing the worship services by leading the congregation in hymn singing and providing music for chanting praises and petitions. The choir members practice songs after the worship service on every Sunday. Currently we have 40 talented members in our Choir. The Choir also offers its services in special functions of church and funeral services. The Choir is often invited to perform at our wedding ceremonies.
